New winners of second edition of Pathfinder Program!
Paweł Krukow and Natalia Kopiś-Posiej from the Medical University of Lublin (Poland) have won the second edition of the Cortivision Pathfinder Program. Their project will be the first fNIRS study where an examination of bilateral prefrontal hemodynamics using a differential cognitive task will be done to understand the neural mechanisms of disorder in information processing in schizophrenia. Researchers will use our Photon Cap to assess prefrontal cortex activity during a verbal fluency task (VFT) and a nonverbal fluency task (Ruff Figural Fluency Test – RFFT) in a group of patients diagnosed with schizophrenia and in healthy control. A unique aspect of this study will consist of using a tablet synchronized with the fNIRS device. This combination will measure brain activity during the various phases of drawing activity.
The application call to Cortivision Pathfinder Program is continuous, so don’t wait and share your ideas with us! Go to the Application form and submit your research project plan. Our team will review it and share feedback on the application process. It is a great opportunity, especially for the researchers with limited funding possibilities.
